Exit from Canterbury
Cathedral. From the VF “ milliarium 0 ” stone in front of the cathedral, go through Christchurch gate, towards Burgate, along Church Street and Longport, beside St Augustine’s Abbey.
After North Holmes Road and St Martin’s church, onto Pilgrim’s Way and follow signs for the North Downs Way (good signposting)

Ferryboat to Calais (check timetable!) Possible return to Canterbury by train
